2025 TOEFL SAF Scholarship Recipients Announced

The winners of the 2nd TOEFL-SAF Scholarship have been announced—congratulations to our recipients!

A big thank you to ETS Korea for generously offering this incredible scholarship to support our SAF exchange students. Your commitment to education makes a world of difference!

 

🥇 Purpose of the scholarship

  • Promote enhancement of academic English proficiency through the globally-recognized ETS TOEFL® iBT test
  • Leverage enhanced academic English proficiency to study as SAF exchange students in the world’s leading universities and participate in IES overseas internships, building global competencies
  • Facilitate global career endeavors and finding employment overseas following university graduation

“Despite my limited English proficiency, I knew this was an opportunity I could not afford to miss. My reading, listening, writing, and speaking skills were vastly improved in the process of preparing for the TOEFL test. I believe this was a crucial step in becoming proficient enough to attend undergraduate-level classes in English and complete assignments. I was also able to develop an English-speaking mindset and English-thinking progresses. This knowledge will be extremely helpful to me as an exchange student.

“Majoring in the French language and literature as well as digital art, I have naturally developed a deep interest in the arts and design, particularly the European cultural contents industry. Language-learning is an ongoing process, and I plan on using the scholarship funds to participate in a production internship in London. I hope to learn British English, while immersing myself in the culture and arts as well. Another personal objective is to nurture the ability to effectively convey various ideas in the English language.

This scholarship is much more than just a grant to me: As a recipient, I feel highly motivated and understand the burden of responsibility that comes with the opportunity. My internship will help me develop my international sensibilities, and enable me to share my experiences and insights with more people.
