On October 8 and October 15, SAF held two successful student informational sessions at Takushoku University – one on the Bunkyo Campus, located in central Tokyo, and the other on the Hachioji Campus, situated in the suburban outskirts.
These sessions marked a significant milestone in SAF’s partnership with Takushoku University, a historic school known for its commitment to fostering global perspectives, who recently joined SAF as a member school in Japan.
The informational sessions were well-received, with approximately 20 students attending the event at Bunkyo Campus and about 40 participating at the Hachioji Campus. The Faculty of International Studies, housed at the Hachioji Campus, played a pivotal role in promoting the session, resulting in a strong turnout. These events provided students with valuable insights into the range of study abroad options available through SAF and underscored the university’s dedication to enhancing international education.
The October 8 session at Bunkyo Campus was particularly notable as it facilitated an in-person meeting between SAF representatives and senior officials from Takushoku University. Coordinated with considerable effort by the Director of the Department of International Affairs, Mr. Takao Saeki, the gathering brought together key university leaders, including Chairman Takumi Okado and President Shoichi Suzuki – a rare accomplishment given their demanding schedules. During the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to ongoing collaboration, laying the groundwork for future initiatives.
For Takushoku University, this partnership represents an important step in broadening the horizons of its students. By collaborating with SAF, the university can offer a wider array of study abroad programs, helping students gain invaluable international experience. The sessions also provided SAF an opportunity to introduce their programs and services directly to Takushoku’s academic community, building awareness and enthusiasm among students and staff alike.
The success of these events highlights the mutual dedication of SAF and Takushoku University to fostering international education. With promising student engagement and support from university leadership, the partnership is poised to grow stronger in the coming years. SAF looks forward to assisting Takushoku students as they embark on transformative study abroad journeys.
As SAF continues to expand its network across Japan, collaborations with esteemed institutions like Takushoku University will play a critical role in shaping the future of global education.
