For the summer, you join a small cohort of likeminded students on this multidisciplinary DISC (Design + Innovation for Sustainable Cities) program. You explore design-based solutions to urgent issues facing cities around the world, including climate change, urban health, and social justice. In doing so, you build your conceptualization and communication skills for 2D and 3D design, collaborate on group projects, develop a project from start to finish, and create materials to use in a design portfolio.
You study and discuss the major debates on global urbanization and sustainability in design studios, digital workshops, and seminars taught by experienced faculty and practitioners as you connect with peers, experienced professionals, and industry leaders. This is an opportunity to learn to develop pioneering approaches to create thriving, balanced urban environments for future generations.
