Academics

University of Montana's Academic Approach

The University of Montana offers a wide selection of academic programs allowing you flexibility to explore your interests and find a course of study that fits your unique strengths.

Three programs of national distinction at U. Montana are creative writing, organismal biology, ecology and evolution and wildlife biology. The university has so many courses to offer, from its College of Humanities and Sciences to the W.A. Franke College of Forestry and Conservation (which houses world renowned department in wildlife biology).  There’s something for everyone at Montana.

SAF program fee tuition rate is based upon enrollment in 21 hours of language instruction per week.

When applying to study abroad, you must meet the entry requirements set by the host university—and SAF is here to set you up for success.

The requirements outlined in this section include the language proficiency scores you may need to demonstrate your language skills, a guide to the GPA range and other academic prerequisites required by your host university, and a list of documentation and other application materials you will need to finalize your application. You may need to supply additional information throughout the process, and you will be alerted through your emails and SAF Student Portal if this is the case for you.

While studying at the University of Montana, you live in an inviting on-campus dormitory, you will have a shared accommodation on campus. Some accommodations have a shared kitchen, common area, and access to laundry facilities for a home-from-home self-catering experience.
