Dalhousie University - Students Front of Building

SAF is delighted to announce a slate of new offerings for the 2024-2025 academic year, including the launch of two innovative programs at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, Canada, and the reintroduction of an academic program at the prestigious Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

New partnerships with Dalhousie University

For the first time, SAF is teaming up with Dalhousie University, one of Canada’s oldest and top-ranked universities, to offer two outstanding programs: the Dalhousie University Language Pathway Program and the Dalhousie University Language Standalone Program

The Dalhousie University Language Pathway Program is designed for students who want to improve their language skills while smoothly transitioning into academic programs. Students enroll in the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program to prepare for study at Dalhousie or any other English-speaking university. With support from experienced language experts, students can expect to elevate their speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills in an academic context.

Using this pathway program, students also develop crucial academic soft skills like independent learning, self-guided research, time management, and academic integrity. Through a mix of scheduled classes and self-paced learning, this track is where students can gain strategies to maximize their academic potential.

The Dalhousie University Language Standalone Program, on the other hand, offers intensive language instruction for students looking to improve their language abilities without immediate academic commitments. It's perfect for anyone seeking language proficiency for personal, professional, or future academic purposes, with a well-rounded curriculum covering all aspects of language learning, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

A charming seaside village in Nova Scotia on Canada's far eastern coast.

Both programs offer students the unique opportunity to live in Halifax, with its dramatic seaside cliffs and quaint towns. Students will stay in a homestay, experiencing the famous hospitality of the eastern coast while honing their English skills in an immersive, friendly environment and learning about Canadian culture.

Reintroducing the Cornell University Academic Program

SAF is also excited to reintroduce the Cornell University Academic Program. This program allows SAF students to immerse themselves in a world-class educational environment, earning credits at one of the world's top-ranked universities. With access to Cornell's extensive resources, cutting-edge research facilities, and diverse academic offerings, students have a wide range of courses to choose from.
