WHAT STUDENTS SAY

Yoo, Jiyoun

During my internship, I experienced the US more as if I was living compared to other exchange students. That I was able to spend a semester like a real member of society convinced me WSP was a good choice.

Academics

American University's Academic Approach

One of the strengths of WSP is its ability to be a standalone or a pathway program. You can start in another AU program in the fall and transition to WSP in the spring, which allows you to experience many perspectives of the university life. If you participate in WSP for two semesters, you have the opportunity to change your concentration for the second term. This affords you the opportunity to explore even more areas of your interests in the United States capital.

Courses

As a SAF Scholar, you decide what disciplines to concentrate on when you. Post acceptance, you select optional courses and start to look for internships based on your major.

Course/Departmental Restrictions

If you're interested in taking optional courses, you need to factor in your internship and academic seminar workload when enrolling in your elective choices.
