In Hanyang University's internship program in vibrant Seoul, you combine academic excellence with real-world experience. While studying at one of Korea’s top universities, you work 20 to 25 hours a week at a leading Korean company, with flexible scheduling to balance your coursework from at least one of 500+ English-taught courses across 15 colleges.

Student Counselor SAFFY

Your Student Counselor is your study abroad ambassador and supporter. They join your application journey when you’ve confirmed you’re interested in studying abroad. At this point, they guide you through each stage of the application, notify you of the documents you need, let you know when your admission results are in, and walk you through the next steps, including class enrollment and organizing pre-arrival tests.

Courses

Course restrictions 
You are required to register for at least one Hanyang academic course to be allocated your (unpaid) internship.

Class hours 
You work 20 to 25 hours per week at your host company. You are free to allocate those hours as five days a week during the morning or afternoon OR the days of four to eight hours each week.

Application Requirements

When applying to study abroad, you must meet the entry requirements set by the host university - and SAF is here to set you up for success.

The requirements outlined in this section include the language proficiency scores you may need to demonstrate your language skills, a guide to the GPA range and other academic prerequisites required by your host university, and a list of documentation and other application materials you will need to finalize your application. You may need to supply additional information throughout the process, and you will be alerted through your emails and SAF Student Portal if this is the case for you.

Language Test Score Requirements

To prove your language proficiency, you will need to provide one of the following:

Minimum English Language Proficiency Scores:

  • IELTS 5.5
  • TOEFL IBT: 61
  • Duolingo: 90
  • TOEIC 685
  • CET4: 450 (for Chinese students only)
  • CET6: 425 (for Chinese students only)

Minimum Korean Language Proficiency Scores:

  • KLAT Level 4
  • TOPIK Level 4

During your time at Hanyang University, you live in on-campus accommodation in modern gender-segregated residences. You have a single bed in a comfortable shared bedroom for two with an ensuite bathroom. 

A convenient and safe living environment in the heart of campus, your building has all you need for an authentic experience of Korean student life.
