Courses
Improving your English language proficiency, you learn skills such as note-taking, academic speaking, and presentation skills for 14 hours a week. You also select target modules that reflect your personal interests or specific language needs. With a total study time of 21 hours a week, you elevate your English language ability to prepare for a strong international future. You sit a placement test at the start of the program and your teachers assess your progress throughout.

Application Requirements
The requirements outlined in this section include the language proficiency scores you may need to demonstrate your language skills, a guide to the GPA range and other academic prerequisites required by your host university, and a list of documentation and other application materials you will need to finalize your application. You may need to supply additional information throughout the process, and you will be alerted through your emails and SAF Student Portal if this is the case for you.
Language Test Score Requirements
To prove your language proficiency, you can use any of the following:
Term 1 (October – December)
- IELTS: 4.5-5.0 overall *No less than 4.5 in any sub-skill
Term 2 (January – March)
- IELTS 5.0-5.5 overall *Minimum 5.0 in writing and no less than 4.5 in any sub-skill
Term 3 (April – June)
- IELTS 5.5 – 6.0 overall *Minimum 5.5 in writing and no less than 5.0 in any sub-skill
