Formerly a women's university for Japanese and English literature, Aichi Prefectural University is now one of Japan's top 100 universities, respected for its foreign and Japanese studies, information, science, and technology, education, and nursing.

Aichi University of the Arts is a public university in the city of Nagakute in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. The university was established in 1966. Aichi University of the Arts is surrounded by a lush green forest in Nagakute City, to the east of neighboring Nagoya City and is often described as a ‘university of fine arts in the woods’. The university’s fundamental policy of education is to provide ‘small-class education’ based on thorough individual guidance.
