Sending Universities

Since 2016, Gakushuin University’s Faculty of International Social Sciences has followed its mission of “cultivating young people who can make a great contribution to the international community.” Using a method that teaches social sciences of law, economics, business management, area studies, and sociology alongside a progressive English-language program, the ISS turns out successful, international business people. ISS provides education based on a fusion of international studies, social sciences, and language where the intensive teaching of practical and natural English happens in the social-sciences classroom. The 200 freshmen annually take English-language classes, then, incrementally, English extends to the social-science courses, which from the third year onward are taught exclusively in English.

Guangdong University of Foreign Studies is a public university with emphasis in foreign languages and cultures, overseas economy and trade, and international strategies in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. The university offers 61 bachelor-degree specialties and teaches 18 foreign languages. The state-level key discipline of Foreign Language and Literature is given priority in the third-phase development of Guangdong province's “Project 211” . It is one of the world's 21 universities qualified to supply competent interpreters and translators to the international organization. It is also the only university of foreign languages in China that is included in Campus Asia.

Hainan University, commonly referred to as Haida, is a comprehensive provincial university in Haikou, Hainan province established in 1988. It is a Chinese Ministry of Education Double First Class Discipline University, with Double First Class status in certain disciplines.

Leading foreign-language and internationalization education in Korea, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies teaches 45 foreign languages. The private research university also delivers courses in humanities, law, social sciences, business, and computer science to enable its students to forge successful careers as global leaders equipped with both professional knowledge and language proficiency. The nation's first engineering institute, established in 1939, Hanyang University, known as the Engine of Korea, is one of South Korea's leading private research universities. With engineering at its heart, HYU was also the country's first school of architecture and civil engineering, and its engineering and technology specialisms are ranked in the top 100 internationally by QS World University Ranking. Inspired by its founding philosophy of 'Love in Deed and Truth,' the university fosters in its students independent thinking and the skills to deliver ground-breaking research, so they can become leaders whose outstanding abilities are matched with strength of character to universally benefit mankind. HYU has a strong international exchange program with more than 700 partner universities.

Harbin Engineering University was founded in 1953, and has been affiliated to the Sixth Ministry of Machinery Industry, China State Shipbuilding Corporation, the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, and now the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It is a university jointly built by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Education, Heilongjiang Province and Harbin City.

Considered the place where industry meets art, Hongik University is the most renowned and prestigious architecture and art school in Korea and one of the country's most popular places to study BA art and design.  With its broad complementary choice of disciplines ranging from law and political science to liberal arts, science, engineering, and business and economics, the university aims to provide an education that cultivates independent, creative, and cooperative graduates who can contribute to national and human development.
