The nation's first engineering institute, established in 1939, Hanyang University, known as the Engine of Korea, is one of South Korea's leading private research universities. With engineering at its heart, HYU was also the country's first school of architecture and civil engineering, and its engineering and technology specialisms are ranked in the top 100 internationally by QS World University Ranking. Hunan University  is a member of "Project 985" and "Project 211", which are sponsored by the Ministry of Education of China aiming to become a world-class university. Its Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Design and International Trade programs are some of its strongest.

With a sprawling campus on the shores of the Yellow Sea, Incheon National University is one of the largest universities in South Korea. Now a private research university, it continues its prestigious tradition and is one of the most renowned universities in Korea. Inner Mongolia University is a "Double First-Class" university co-built by the provincial and ministerial levels. It is located in Hohhot and was founded in 1957. It covers an area of more than 3,800 mu and has about 27,000 students and nearly 2,000 faculty and staff. As a university under the "211 Project" and the "Double First-Class" construction, its ethnicology and ecology disciplines were rated B+, and it has distinct characteristics in the fields of Mongolian studies and grassland ecology. It has a digital platform for Mongolian ancient books and a national key laboratory of grassland ecology, serving the cultural and ecological development of the border areas.

A non-sectarian institution since 1901, Japan Women's University nurtures independence and freedom of thought, believing that women's education is important for international respect and peace. In its four main faculties - Home Economics, Human and Social Studies, Literature, and Science - the university gives women the education and research opportunities that set them on a path of leadership and innovation in local and global communities.
