A training ground for China's most influential government and industry positions, Dongbei University of Finance & Economics (DUFE) is one of the oldest and largest modern universities in Dalian, topping the tables for its teaching and research in economics, management, law, arts, and science. Famed for producing consistently employable graduates, the public university has strong exchange programs across Asia, Europe and the rest of the world.

Dongduk Women's University (DWU) is Korea's first private educational institute for women only, originated from Dongwon Girls School (Eui-sook), founded with private capital in 1908. DWU was established based on the main vision of school foundation, which is to carry women's education that honors truth and respects morality. At present, DWU is composed of 8 colleges, 6 departments, 18 majors, 16 departments of majors, and 7 graduate schools. DWU has about 7,500 excellent students 350 faculty members. For education and research in engineering, management, design and materials, Donghua University leads the way. One of China's key Double First Class Discipline Universities for education, it ranks in the top 12 Chinese colleges and universities and has an impressive 100% employment rate for postgraduates and over 95% for undergraduates. The public research university in Shanghai, China, holds a number of valid patents, is part of Project 211 and was one of the first Chinese universities to accept international students in the 1950s.

Duksung Women's University is the first higher education institute solely established by common women’s hands, not by government, nor foreign capital.

Dubbed the Columbia of the East, East China Normal University (ECNU) rose from humble beginnings as the first national univerisity to train secondary- and higher-education teachers. Now one of the most prestigious universities in China, it is internationally recognized and has strong relationships with institutions across the globe. Part of Project 211 and Project 985, this Shanghai institution is an elite research-intensive university and home to top-class researchers, leading the way in Chinese innovation.

East China University of Political Science and Law is one of the few higher-education institutions in China specializing in legal education.
