Hunan University  is a member of "Project 985" and "Project 211", which are sponsored by the Ministry of Education of China aiming to become a world-class university. Its Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Design and International Trade programs are some of its strongest.

With a sprawling campus on the shores of the Yellow Sea, Incheon National University is one of the largest universities in South Korea. In the city of Hohhot, the capital city of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Inner Mongolia University of Technology (IMUT) was founded in 1951. From its origins as a technical school IMUT continues to specialise in engineering studies. Currently offering academic pursuits well beyond the traditional technical studies the university has over 25,000 students enrolled.

A non-sectarian institution since 1901, Japan Women's University nurtures independence and freedom of thought, believing that women's education is important for international respect and peace. Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE) is a university of higher finance and economics co-established by the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Jiangxi Province. It mainly focuses on economics and management disciplines, with coordinated development of law, engineering, liberal arts, science and art disciplines.

Jinan University (abbreviated JNU) is a public research and comprehensive university based in Tianhe District, Guangzhou city, Guangdong province, China. It is one of the oldest universities established on China tracing back to the Qing dynasty (1644-1911).  It is the first university in China to recruit foreign students, and is currently a Chinese university with the largest number of international students. In 1996, it was included in the state's Project 211 for development of key universities. In 2017, it was listed as one of the "double first-class universities".
