Sending Universities

Famous for halving its tuition fee, University of Seoul is a public university funded and supported by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, which makes significant financial investment per student. Reported to be the best-value public university in Korea, UOS has very high numbers of applicants and very few students dropping out, and – because they feel they have taken much from the state – many of the alumni work as national or municipal government officials. Initially inaugurated as Kyung Sung Public Agricultural College in 1918, UOS is now a Seoul Metropolitan Government think-tank, formulating and supporting major policy goals, often out of its renowned College of Urban Science. Students here enjoy top-tier programs that foster talents essential for Korean society and the country’s continued economic development.

Consistently ranked among the most academically selective universities in Japan, Waseda University also stands alongside prominent national universities for its research output. The private research university in central Tokyo has some of Japan's most impressive alumni, ranging from prime ministers to founders and presidents of global behemoths like Sony, Nintendo, and Fast Retailing, and it boasts one of the largest libraries in Japan. Wenzhou University of Technology is an undergraduate public university. It is the former Wenzhou University Oujiang College. There are eight colleges and one public teaching department. The university offers numerous undergraduate majors covering disciplines including engineering, literature, science, economics, management, law, art, and education.

Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University is an international joint university based in Suzhou, Jiangsu, China. Founded in 2006 and resulting from a partnership between the University of Liverpool and Xi'an Jiaotong University, it is the first Sino-British joint venture between research led universities. The University primarily focuses on science, technology, engineering, architecture and business with a secondary focus in English.

Xiamen Institute of Technology is a full-time undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education. In 2015, it was approved to become one of the first batch of independent undergraduate universities in Fujian Province. In 2019, it passed the assessment of undergraduate teaching in regular institutions of higher learning by the Ministry of Education.

Xiamen University is a public university in Xiamen, Fujian, with strengths in economics and management, fine arts, law, chemistry, journalism, communication, and mathematics. Xiamen was the first university in China founded by a member of the overseas Chinese diaspora. It is now a top-ranked university directly administered by the Chinese Ministry of Education and recognized as a Class A institution in the Double First Class University Plan, a government initiative to cultivate a group of elite Chinese universities into "world-class" institutions.

Xiamen University of Technology (XMUT) is a provincial public university located in Xiamen, Fujian province, China. Founded in 1981, the university has created a joint-venture called Digital Innovation College with partnering universities; Ming Chuan University and Central University. In 2008 XMUT was named as one of the "Top Ten Fastest Growing Universities in China".
