Tianjin University is of the first modern higher education institutions in China. Now a national university under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education of China, it is a Chinese Ministry of Education Class A Double First Class University. It was established in 1895 as Tientsin University/Imperial Tientsin University and later Peiyang University (Beiyang University).

Tianjin University of Technology (TEU) is a multi-disciplinary university with engineering as its specialty, as well as other programs including science, management and liberal arts. In 1996, the former Tianjin Institute of Technology was merged with the former Tianjin University Branch, Tianjin University Mechanical and Electrical Branch, and Tianjin University Metallurgy Branch to form the new Tianjin Institute of Technology.

Tohoku Gakuin University (TGU ) was established in 1886. It is the largest private comprehensive university in the Tohoku and Hokkaido regions of Japan with more than 11,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students. It comprises 15 departments in 9 faculties—Letters, Economics, Business Administration, Law, Engineering, Regional Studies, Informatics, Human Sciences, and International Studies. TGU locates in a beautiful greenery city, Sendai, the cultural and economic center of the Tohoku region. As symbolized by the school motto, “Life Light Love”, TGU aims to nurture individuals who will contribute to development of culture and society through education based on Christian teachings.

Tokyo University of Science, one of the oldest private universities of science and technology in Japan, is now Japan's largest comprehensive science and technology university. It stays true to its roots of "Building a Better Future with Science." 
TUS's graduate schools produce more Masters of Science than any other private university in Japan and the university boasts a 95.5% employment rate. 

Tokyo Woman's Christian University puts strong emphasis on the liberal arts to enable its students to make constructive contributions towards solving the problems faced by both society and humankind. Tongji University  is a comprehensive university located in Shanghai. Established in 1907 by the German government together with German physicians in Shanghai, Tongji is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in China. It is a Chinese Ministry of Education Class A Double First Class University. Tongji University is especially renowned for its engineering, business and architecture programs.

An institution that started life as a private philosophy academy, Toyo University is now one of the largest universities in Japan. But while it offers both liberal arts and science courses and was one of the first co-educational universities in Japan, it maintains its founding spirit: "The Basis of All Learning Lies in Philosophy." By ‘integrating knowledge and virtue,’ and nurturing ‘independence and self-initiative,’ the university shares both academic distinction and sporting prowess, especially in sumo wrestling, baseball, and soccer, in which it has produced professional athletes and Olympic medalists. It offers Japanese language and society courses and special programs for international students in each department.
