Lanzhou University is a major research university in Lanzhou, Gansu Province, China. Founded in 1909, it is one of the key universities under China's Ministry of Education (Project 985 & Project 211). It is a Chinese Ministry of Education Class A Double First Class University. Lanzhou University was one of the first universities entitled to enroll Bachelor Master's and Doctoral degree candidates in 1981. Lanzhou University is one of the top ten universities in contributions to academic publications in international journals frequently cited by ongoing research from around the world.

With graduates ranging from Japanese prime ministers to manga and martial artists, prominent Meiji University produces graduates who perform successfully on the world stage. A private, Christian university, Myongji University started life as a women's college. Nanchang Hangkong University is an engineering-based multidisciplinary university. It is a higher education institute with a distinctive feature of aeronautics and national defense under the joint supervision of Jiangxi Provincial Government and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China.

Nanchang University (NCU) is a National Key University in Nanchang, Jiangxi, China. It was established in 1940 as National Chung Cheng University. It is a Chinese Ministry of Education Double First Class Discipline University, with Double First Class status in certain disciplines.

Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) is an elite, Chinese Ministry of Education Double First Class Discipline University, with Double First Class status in certain disciplines. Located in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, it was established in 1952 and is now operated by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Nanhang is ranked in the top 250 universities in the world in the QS World University Rankings for Mechanical, Aeronautical and Manufacturing Engineering, and as one of the top 200 universities of Asia.
